The nodes, node trees, and all settings you create are saved in a document called a Composition, or “comp” for short. Stringing different nodes together in a graphical user interface called a node tree allows you to create sophisticated visual effects. Similar to effects you may be familiar with, each node includes a set of parameters that can be adjusted and animated over time. These nodes represent effects like blurs and color correctors, as well as images, 3D models, and spline masks. In fact, a lot of content creators are feeling intimidated by this node-based SFX software. Simply don't have the time, esp when it would be solved with keeping updated documention, which in my mind should be a given for any expensive software.Everybody is well familiar with DaVinci Resolve. With all of that said, I am having a HUGE issue with forking over $299 for independent use if my youtube method is the only way to go. If I missed it I apologize, but given the many threads and zero presence on your "learning" pages of any sort of useful fusion documentation, it seems you value obscurity in order to capitalize on selling learning videos, over ease of use. I want to preface this with the caveat that the free version is great for its capabilities.Īs an independent software developer I find it kind of absurd that the lack of clear documentation makes this program harder to learn than something as complicated as Blender, which while complicated has clear, well written documentation.Įvery single time I need to learn something I have to sort through 5 or 10 basic youtube videos to find how to actually use the tools beyond the one example they all are referencing. ![]()
